2) INDEPENDENT PRACTICE: PROJECT 2 WEB2.0 TOOLS-Please post to your blog explaining your 2 web2.0 tools you have chosen.
3) Learn abou your web2.0 tool, you may have to create a username and password to learn how to use so you can create the powerpoint. Use today's class time to learn about the two web tools. Be ready to begin your powerpoint tomorrow or if you feel you are ready to start you can begin today.
4) Powerpoint should include- Name of Web2.0 tool, purpose, how it can be used in an educational setting, what type of class can you see using the tool, describe how the tool can be used in the classroom, provide a specific lesson where the tool could be used.
EXAMPLE: "Who's the fastest of them all Text Message Challenge!"
GUIDED PRACTICE: Each student must write a brief 3 sentence paragraph describing what they paln to do afterschool today. Next, each student selects 5 people, to text message the paragraph on a cell phone. The people selected should have varying levels of text message capability and be of various ages. For example, a parent versus a student. Next students will use a stopwatch to time how long it takes each person they have selected to type and send the text message. Have students record those times and graph them on a chart.
